I have been lost in thought and conversation a lot recently on the same subject. That subject is, am I impacting my creativity because it it monitiesed?

I teach a mixed media art class on a Monday evening and the class is really free, I encourage lots of experimentation with media. My role is essentially to provide an encyclopedia of skills and techniques. I kept seeing the wonderful way my students would create things and started to ask myself, does being a ‘professional’ restrain me?

I started to speak to other friends of mine who are also artists and I was relieved to hear that I was not the only one that had these thoughts.
